Fatigue Fighting or Fishing in My Wallet?
I hate it when I run across something that sounds too good to be true. But today I came across a photo of Lance Armstrong talking about something called FRS healthy energy.
Coming equipped as I do with a well developed skeptic gene, I don't buy cure-alls or miracle supplements. So I wouldn't pay any attention here except the material says FRS was originally tested and refined by Harvard's "Dana Farber Cancer Institute as a fatigue fighting and general health drink."
And studies - they've at least got some numbers to back them up.
Would I be just as well off keeping up with my fruit and grain and protein awareness program? I have no idea, but the exhaustion is not going anywhere and it's getting old.
Right off the bat since they are dealing with my primary complaint and use two respected names, Dana Farber Clinic, and Lance Armstrong in the promotional materials, I cant get away from feeling that I'm going to need to know more about this.
Remember - I don't look for anything like nutrition to kill cancer cells. But IF there is anything I can do to increase my energy level, I'm so there. Missing events because I'm too wiped out to get out of bed is not my idea of acceptable.
Got ideas for me? Comment away; I'm reading, Or napping maybe, but hopefully reading,

I've recently seen the same ads and thought the same thing. Lance Arstrong doesn't normally endorse something unless he truly believes in it. It looks like the research really backs up the product. I just had a double mastectomy in Jan 08 with no recon. I'm still battling some fatigue, but it's getting better. The idea that there's a drink that could help does sound exciting....

Have you seen the web site for the product? Anything that gives you a "free" trial and then "automatically" signs you up for a monthly program sounds fishy to me. With drinks, powders, and soft chews available I would would want to choose if and when I want to reorder not get stuck on a monthly program. I don't the marketing tacktic!
I say eat healthy, drink 100% pure juices, and get your ass off the couch and exersize! I know easy to say huh? But, I still believe some of that energy is zapped from depression. I'm always after myself to move and breath! It's not easy!
I hope you are doing well. Loved your last post by the way. You sound like one GREAT mom!
Peace B

Ask yourself this question: it can't be poison coming out of Lance and Dana Farber. At worse, it won't work. At best, it will. You have very little to lose. Go for it. I will give you a money back guarantee. If it doesn't work, I will buy it for you :-)

Susan--Hi, I'm a friend of Dubutaunt's. She mentioned you on her blog, so I popped over to say hi. I have metastatic breast cancer, and have for more than six years now (nine years since my first BC diagnosis). I've been fighting fatigue for about as long as I've been fighting cancer, and one thing that helps me is Provigil. It's a prescription drug, and I take it every day. Don't know how it works, but it does. I've been on it for a couple of periods of time, several months at a stretch. No side effects that I've noticed.
And I agree--fatigue is worse than pain. It is my No. One Enemy.

I sent away for the "free" FRS trial. All I had to do was pay $6.95 for postage. I am usually very careful about these things, but I went ahead and sent in an order--primarily because it was endorsed by Lance Armstrong. I tried it, and didn't like it. But that's just me. Then a package arrived at my doorstep a short time later and my credit card was billed $64.95! Seems that you agree to join some club if you send away for this stuff through the Web. I called, cancelled my "membership," paid more postage to send it back and track it and have been assured by Sun Nutrition and FRS for over a month that my acocunt had been credited. I am still calling and waiting to see my credit card refund. I would not recommend this product or company. And, unfortunately, the "Lance" brand has taken a beating as a result of my experience.
