Weekend Wanderings: Places to Visit in Second Life

Things to See - Places to Be:

  • Governor Linden Palace - open to wander & GREAT place to take photos & learn to walk around, maybe bump into Lindens (employees of Linden labs which operates Second Life are assigned the last name Linden)
  • Dog park  - I kid you not - go see and watch the dogs interact with you and each other. Pet them and see what they do. Caledon
  • Greenies Home  You get a totally different take on things when you are tiny and everything else is big, Give yourself lots of time to discover and just take photos, see things from a different perspective and have fun.
  • Feel like a treat? You will not believe these virtual 'edibles'

Straylight

Straylight
I could probably spend days here and not learn enough to really make an  island wonderful. Is it the texture or is it the layout - or something  beyond that?

Westport's Little Magic Garden

Want practice walking in Second Life? Try walking on this log across the little brook.

The park has plenty of little touches like petals falling from the tree and water that looks like it is really running along, plus spots to sit or just look around.

It's located at Westport where a spot to find free shirts supporting the candidate of your choice is also situated. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Westport/206/118/64

BRCA Garden of Hope

BRCA Garden of Hope, originally uploaded by susanreynolds.

After meetings from early this morning until late this afternoon, it's easy to just get wrapped up in thea rat-race. Gardens and other spots provided by the citizenry of Second Life help remind us that there's more to life

This one provides a simple peaceful place to just be, and a way to de-stress while remembering those who are afflicted with Breast Cancer and other illnesses that rob them of the ability to enjoy some of the pleasures many of us take for granted.

It's how I'm spending a few minutes, and I wanted to thank Akasha Divisadero & members of the Breast Cancer Awareness Group for this space,

Secret Garden at Marketing City

Some lovely things are nicely placed n a very tranquil area, It's gets a little overdone with daisies popping up from under your feet as you walk but overall it's a nice surprise tucked away near what supposed to be a lively business area but seems as if it hasn't really taken off.

Psst...
