It's Tuesday, So Try Doing One More Thing

CalendarTry It Tuesday is a website that sponsors the idea of setting aside at least part of every Tuesday to do a project that they explain each week.

Illustration Friday, Inspire Me Thursday and now Tuesdays are tempting me too. So many ideas and so little time!

I thought that was a cool idea until I started realizing that priorities start to get lost at some point when we starting adding more and more things to the "to do" list.

The upside of Try It Tuesday is that you could do something in a new way or learn something new.

Reading PA - Market Your Art this Summer

I spent my early adult years just down the road in Philadelphia and Lancaster County, so of course I think this is a super idea. It's absolutely gorgeous country and a great way to spend summer Saturdays.

This is especially true since Reading's organizers have gone out of their way to make sure that a group of artists can do this at a bargain basement price.

But the best quote in this whole piece is here:

"It'll be artsy and a lot of fun!"

So read on, my artsy friends . . .

MailArt for Scholarship

From Carol Eacret-Simmons, a senior in art education at Dickinson State University in North Dakota comes the following:14305mailartenvelope

My art department is putting on a Mail-In art exhibit to raise money for art scholarships. There is NO theme and any size or medium of "postcard" is allowed.

Our gallery director/art professor has been really awesome and has put a lot of work into improving our tiny little art department and I would like to suprise her by inviting as many artists to participate as possible.

There are some that say it is impossible to fill the gallery with mail-in art, I say bring the challenge on. I really want this to be a successful show for her, so the more cards the better.

All art received will be offered for sale,
